Y O U

Attempting to detach myself from everything that is you, but that's close to impossible because every little thing reminds me of you. I close my eyes to try to get away from it all & I still see you. I go to sleep because it's the only break I get from thinking of you... & then I dream of you. The days continue to pass, but everyday I still love you. The only cure for this illness is to rip my heart out of my chest & give it to you... It only beats for you & I no longer want anything to do with Y O U...

Takers

Saturday I went to the movies to see the highly anticipated (at least by me) movie of the year "Takers". I recently got discouraged about the film because there was a lot of talk about how the film wasn't going to be all it was amped up to be & that the preview would be better than the actual movie. But they were wrong... The movie was everything I expected it to be & more! The actors were delicious, the story line was perfect & it had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I just couldn't wait for the movie to end because I was so tired of being on edge & having my heart beating out of my chest. LOL! I'm not really an action flick girl, but I was so impressed with it that I wouldn't mind going to see it again! If you haven't already, please go see "Takers", it's a must see!

Check out the ring & ear rings Latrell made to go along with my RockStar nails & toes... Can you say in love?! LOL! I'm ready to buy a million things to match with my new accessories so I can rock them 24/7. I must say that this lady is so talented & that's just an understatement. I'm more than satisfied with the finished product :-) Singing "Hey baby I'm a RockStar" LOL!

The Rock Star Movement

CHANGE! It's a part of life. Not necessarily an aspect of life that I love to accept, but it's inevitable... So I'm embracing it. In the past I've tried to hold on to things that were no good for me, so in celebration of my transition I'm letting go... Out with the old & in with the new...

I told you all that I was going to someone new to get my nails done & I love them! She was awesome & made sure that I was happy with the finished product! This new style of wearing nails is called Rock Star & anyone who knows me knows that I'm the queen of bling & bright colors, so this style was perfect for me. I got there & went crazy with all the colors. I go out & people can't help but notice my nails & toes. Grab your shades to view my Rock Star nails & toes that I personally named "Quissey's Fab & Fierce Mix." I can't thank Latrell enough! I'm in love!

I also cut my hair... Yep! Chop chop! LOL! & I actually love it! It looks fuller & healthier. I'm thinking about going even shorter, but I have to put some more thought into that...

Rihanna Inspired...

If you visit my blog frequently you already know that I'm a die hard Rihanna fan! Don't get me wrong, in no way, shape or form have I put Beyonce down I still live for Beyonce, her voice & her performance, but I live for Rihanna's style. You're about to know just how much...

Here I'm rocking the exact same dress that Rihanna wore while she was in Jerusalem earlier this year. Thanks to Twitter I found out where to get this maxi hip hugging, form fitting dress. Where did I get this dress & for how much? I would have to kill you if I told you! LOL!

& here you can see, just like I said I would I stole Rihanna's behind the ear zodiac symbol. I'm such a Cancer baby & I always wanted to get a tattoo of the Cancer symbol, but I wasn't sure where I wanted it... Once I saw Rihanna's I knew that's where I had to have it.

Nail Color Of The Moment

I am currently rocking my new fav neutral color called "Playa Del Platinum", which of course is another Essie color from their Resort Collection. I have been trying to find a perfect earth tone color for a while now & I've finally found it!
But I just couldn't rock that bland color alone. I brought this mild color to life with this flashy gold called "Bling Dynasty" by my other favorite nail polish brand OPI. I've had the pleasure to meet a new nail technician who is beyond creative & has some futuristic styles. As soon as I get the time I'm going to go try her out & see how it goes, you guys look out for that...

B-Day Vacay

I just recently celebrated my 23rd birthday with some of my fav ladies on a cruise to the Bahamas. I can't even describe how beautiful & relaxing my trip was. It was three days of pure serenity. Free from work, school & blocked off from the rest of the world with no cell phone.

During our first day we took the time out to get familiar with the ship. We toured the ship & figured out where all the shops & clubs were & our first stop of course was to get some food! LOL! The food on the cruise was outstanding! There wasn't anything that I ate that wasn't delicious & I'm a very picky eater. From pancakes, lobster, to pizza... It was all appetizing! After dinner that particular night we hit the club & surprisingly they played everything that we wanted to hear. My Mom & Sister even stayed out with us till the wee hours of the morning partying. LOL!

Day #2 was our day to get off of the ship in the Bahamas. That was my actual birthday... July 10th, 2010. When I woke up that morning in the Bahamas it was pouring down rain & I just knew that it was going to throw down all day, but around 11:30am-12:00pm the rain finally let up & we were able to depart from the ship & explore Nassau Bahamas. We toured the famous Atlantis Hotel & it was amazing! I've never seen a hotel so beautiful in my entire life! But my favorite part of the day was when we were able to hit the strip called the Fish Fry where they have all the Bahamian food. We went to a spot called Seafood Haven, & that's exactly what it was! I had conch fritters, conch salad, fried conch, fried lobster & this off the hook Bahamian punch that put the icing on the cake! My mouth is watering right now thinking about it! LOL! We were supposed to go to the Straw Market to shop, but we all were so stuffed after that meal all we wanted to do was lay down & that's exactly what we did! LOL! We went back to the ship & napped until dinner time. My birthday dinner that night was nothing less than perfect! Lobster was on the menu & that's my favorite thing in the universe to eat, my best friend Sabine treated me to a shot of Patron (which is one of my other favorite things), & they surprised me with a cake & sang Happy Birthday. Our waiters were thee best & on top of that were too hilarious! Once dinner was over a few of us headed back to the club again & vibed to the Micheal Jackson tracks they were spinning for the MJ tribute they were doing that night. Everyone else actually stayed out later than me on my own birthday... I was pooped! LOL!

Our last day was a day at sea. We all had a great time lounging out by the pool soaking up the sun, enjoying the breeze & the endless view of the ocean. I might have been five shades darker after that but it was well worth it! I think I'm finally beginning to get my color back. LOL! I was almost brought to tears that final dinner night knowing that the following night I wouldn't be sitting across from all these people I love so much, enjoying laughs & service from such great & comical people. This was one of my most memorable birthdays yet! I feel so blessed to be able to reach another year of life because many have not made it thus far... Looking forward to many many more! Enjoy the pics...
