B-Day Vacay

I just recently celebrated my 23rd birthday with some of my fav ladies on a cruise to the Bahamas. I can't even describe how beautiful & relaxing my trip was. It was three days of pure serenity. Free from work, school & blocked off from the rest of the world with no cell phone.

During our first day we took the time out to get familiar with the ship. We toured the ship & figured out where all the shops & clubs were & our first stop of course was to get some food! LOL! The food on the cruise was outstanding! There wasn't anything that I ate that wasn't delicious & I'm a very picky eater. From pancakes, lobster, to pizza... It was all appetizing! After dinner that particular night we hit the club & surprisingly they played everything that we wanted to hear. My Mom & Sister even stayed out with us till the wee hours of the morning partying. LOL!

Day #2 was our day to get off of the ship in the Bahamas. That was my actual birthday... July 10th, 2010. When I woke up that morning in the Bahamas it was pouring down rain & I just knew that it was going to throw down all day, but around 11:30am-12:00pm the rain finally let up & we were able to depart from the ship & explore Nassau Bahamas. We toured the famous Atlantis Hotel & it was amazing! I've never seen a hotel so beautiful in my entire life! But my favorite part of the day was when we were able to hit the strip called the Fish Fry where they have all the Bahamian food. We went to a spot called Seafood Haven, & that's exactly what it was! I had conch fritters, conch salad, fried conch, fried lobster & this off the hook Bahamian punch that put the icing on the cake! My mouth is watering right now thinking about it! LOL! We were supposed to go to the Straw Market to shop, but we all were so stuffed after that meal all we wanted to do was lay down & that's exactly what we did! LOL! We went back to the ship & napped until dinner time. My birthday dinner that night was nothing less than perfect! Lobster was on the menu & that's my favorite thing in the universe to eat, my best friend Sabine treated me to a shot of Patron (which is one of my other favorite things), & they surprised me with a cake & sang Happy Birthday. Our waiters were thee best & on top of that were too hilarious! Once dinner was over a few of us headed back to the club again & vibed to the Micheal Jackson tracks they were spinning for the MJ tribute they were doing that night. Everyone else actually stayed out later than me on my own birthday... I was pooped! LOL!

Our last day was a day at sea. We all had a great time lounging out by the pool soaking up the sun, enjoying the breeze & the endless view of the ocean. I might have been five shades darker after that but it was well worth it! I think I'm finally beginning to get my color back. LOL! I was almost brought to tears that final dinner night knowing that the following night I wouldn't be sitting across from all these people I love so much, enjoying laughs & service from such great & comical people. This was one of my most memorable birthdays yet! I feel so blessed to be able to reach another year of life because many have not made it thus far... Looking forward to many many more! Enjoy the pics...
